The Summer Collection of photoshoots have been full of wild flowers, cornfields and long grasses. There so many opportunities for backdrops to photoshoots near to where I live.
Despite the current situation we are all facing with Covid 19, photoshoots have been able to go ahead post Lockdown. Obviously we have been very mindful to keep within the restrictions at all times. I always use a long lens on a family outdoor shoot anyway. It allows children and families to interact without feeling you are on top of them. Therefore you get more natural looking shots and I can grab candid moments.
Being outdoors is also the safest place to be, and for children to be able to run around the woods and fields with freedom can only be a great thing. So many of my clients this summer have mentioned how they want to ‘capture the moment’ more than ever because of what we have lived through in the last six months. Family life and time has featured heavily for everyone and if we haven’t been able to be with our family we have thought and talked to family members more than ever before.
Photos bring us together even if we can be all in the shot together. They are fabulous memories and great gifts. Watching children grow is such a pleasure. Therefore recording it helps us to hold on to the moment and reminisce when we need to. The Summer Collection has been an extra special time for me. It mean’t I was getting back out to doing what I enjoy the most and being able to bring families together again. Even if this was remotely.
