This week as I look back at 2025 I’m reflecting on the businesses I worked with throughout the year. My time spent at Garden Fields JMI School in the summer was definitely a highlight. An extremely successful and impressive primary school in St Albans welcomed me to photograph the children in their daily activities and work.

Headmaster Paul Sutton said: “At our school, we aim to develop our children not just academically, but also socially and morally. We provide a high level of pastoral care and a wide variety of enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities which run in conjunction with our stimulating and exciting curriculum.”

Garden Fields is now a one-form entry school just north of the city centre. Dating back to 1896 and our old home in Catherine Street, we are one of the oldest schools in St Albans. In the 1970’s we moved to our existing school site, with its fabulous grounds and teaching spaces which include: a large school field, a forest school area, outdoor theatre, library and five playgrounds. Additionally, we have our own breakfast and after school club, ‘The Hub’, which operates onsite. https://gardenfields.herts.sch.uk
